Jeti-Ögüz hot springs

Jety-Ögüz resort, famous for its medicinal geothermal springs, is located 30 km south-west of Karakol and 25 km north of the shore of the Ysyk-Köl at an altitude of 2200-2400 m. The therapeutic waters of the resort are characterized by high temperature and low radioactivity of the water. 

These are radon chloride-sodium-calcium, chloride-sulfate-sodium-calcium thermal and subthermal waters. The springs are also famous for their mountain climate and scenic landscape.  Radon hot springs of Jeti-Ögüz have high mineralization and are most famous. 

Depending on the composition, radioactivity, mineralization and temperature, the hot springs are classified as a) highly mineralized, b) mineralized, and c) slightly mineralized waters. 

The hot springs also contain small amounts of bromine, iodine, boron, copper, lead, zinc, molybdenum, silver, strontium, germanium as well as organic substances like bitumens, humin, phenols, and volatile fatty acids. 

Jety-Ögüz resort offers the visitors thermal mineral baths with temperatures ranging from +37 ° C to +42 ° C as a treatment procedure for various ailments such musculoskeletal and gynecological conditions as well as ailments of the nervous system. Hot springs water is used for therapeutic and drinking purposes.
